Imperial College London Codeathon marks the half way point

This week, we had a relatively quiet(ish) schedule, with only one codeathon visit to Imperial College London on Wednesday. Having taken part last year and providing the challenge with a finalist, we knew that we’d be looking at some top talent!

Occupying the same space we hosted last year’s codeathon in, we kicked off at 1pm to make sure there were no clashes for the students of South Kensington.

Bringing the supplies for the usual formula of phones, food and expert advice from both Keith and Sameer from SERI made for a productive session, while showcasing some real progress from the students of Imperial within the confines of their Huxley Building.

Much like our previous codeathons, we saw students come along for a day of an unforgettable mix of coding, eating, fun, and more eating. Though, unlike most sessions, it was interesting to note a higher proportion of practical apps being developed, rather than the most students’ focus on gaming.

In terms of the £500 codeathon prize, we seem to be struggling to make a clear choice on overall winners and split the prize yet again!

Congratulations to….

We look forward to checking back on the teams in the coming weeks to see how they progress. For now, we’re excited to see what Nottingham and Oxford can do next week!

Oh, remember that you can see how the Imperial went down by following our Facebook and Twitter activity.
