The Challenge codeathons are coming thick and fast now, with KCL and UCL next on the list. Following on from Abertays successful events, it’s the turn of King’s and UCL students to prove they’ve got supreme coding skills as they battle to make it through the first stage of the competition.
Although the concept is identical (ie teams attempt to come up with the app that most impresses the judges in order to progress onto the next round), the KCL and UCL codeathons will be a little different to the usual in that it’s split over two days:
King’s College London: 9am-9pm on Tuesday and Wednesday in K4.29 both sessions.
University College London: 10am – 9pm Thursday & Friday in Computer Science lab 1.05
SERI’s experts Keith Bauwise and Sameer Ballewar will be present to help out with technical queries while Steel Media’s Lee J Kenny will be running around to provide sustenance, general encouragement and his own unique form of entertainment.
There will be phones, tablets, food, a £500 prize and expert advice so DO NOT MISS OUT!
Make it ‘appen 2012.
